2017-18 School Day Information

For safety reasons, the only students who may be on school grounds before 8:05 a.m.  align="center">are those who attend the YWCA Before & After School Program and students who ride the bus.

The only vehicles that may pass the "DO NOT ENTER" sign in either direction between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. are staff and vehicles of families who attend the YWCA Before & After School program who must sign their students in and out.

** School Day Schedule **

8:05 - 8:15 Students play outside on their grade level playgrounds with adult supervision; Students and Adults enter the building through grade level doors.
8:15 - 8:20 Students put their personal items in lockers or on hooks and enter the classroom. Students must be in their seats by 8:20 or are tardy.
8:20 Breakfast is offered to all students, attendance is taken, announcements are made, lunch counts are taken, classroom business is conducted.
10:55 - 1:00 Lunches by grade level (see lunch schedule for times by grade).
3:08 School is over & students are dismissed through their grade level doors. YWCA  & Boys & Girls Club students are release to their areas.

For safety reasons, all students who are not in after school programs must be on their way home right after school is dismissed, as no adult supervision is available, except for school sponsored programs and events.

Please note with the oncoming winter weather, that **the School District of Janesville does not release students early** to avoid incoming weather. Not all students can go home, or have adults present in their homes to be released to.  School closings and delays will be announced on Infinite Campus, email, text or phone depending upon how personal preferences are set on Infinite Campus. Announcements are also made on WCLO and TV news stations. The district asks that phone lines are kept clear and weather situations are checked in one of the above ways rather than by calling in. Parents/guardians who decide to keep their students home due to weather conditions must still call students in to the attendance line.

Please do not report absences / attendance on Class Dojo.

Madison's Attendance Line:  (608) 743-6830  (please leave a message for absences or late arrivals)
